Our Compounding Options
We offer a range of compounding methods designed to match your material type, production process, and budget:
Fully Compounded Colour
Pigments are embedded directly into the polymer during extrusion, resulting in a uniform, ready-to-use coloured compound.
Benefits:
- Precise and repeatable colour results
- Predictable performance characteristics
- Clean and easy handling
Limitations:
- Less flexible in terms of post-processing or colour adjustments
Masterbatch
Highly concentrated colour pellets (up to 80% pigment) are mixed with the base polymer at specific ratios. Available as both polymer-specific and universal carrier types.
Benefits:
- Excellent colour control
- Cleaner and more efficient than dry blends
- Minimal drying issues
Limitations:
- Compatibility may vary depending on base polymer
- Requires accurate dosing for consistent results
Dry Blend / Dry Colour
A mix of colourants and polymers—often combined with dispersion aids to help bind pigments to the surface of the base material.
Benefits:
- Cost-effective and quick to prepare
- Ideal for short runs or prototyping
Limitations:
- Messier than other methods
- Colour consistency may vary between batches
